Resident of Cazaville, Florence passed away suddenly and peacefully on April 14th 2019, surrounded by her family at the Barrie Memorial Hospital, at the age of 87.
She was the daughter of the late Humphrey and Mary Thurston. Mother to Bruce (Victoria), Brian (Valerie), Heather (Kevin), Scott (Diane), Allister, Aaron and Connie.
Grandmother to Melanie (Ken), Wesley (Karolyn), Beth, Jamie, Lynn (Dave), Lyman (Diana), Robyn (Pierre-Hugo), Amy (Wes), Theresa, Tawnya, Jarrett (Christine), Meagan, Brianna (Paul), Paige (Alex), Avery, Deirdre, Bronwen, Myles, Anaya. Great-grandmother to 20 great-grandchildren.
Sister to Irene (Owen), Lyman (Donna), Ann (Martin), Glenn (Madonna), Donald (Lynn). Predeceased by her siblings, Francis (late Patricia), Jeanette (Fred), Bernadette (Merrill), Edmund (Carol), Katheryn (late Gordon) Orrick (Sharon).
Visitation will be held at Saint-Anicet Catholic Church, St. Anicet, QC on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm followed by the memorial service at 2:30 pm.

One of my very best friends in life–and a person of such rare true goodness, sweetness and compassion. So unexpected, I’m still in shock. We will miss her so much.

So sorry to hear of Florence’s passing. I have known her all my life and rarely have I met a sweeter, kinder or more generous person than she. She will be missed and my deepest condolences to the whole family.
