Patricia Shearer, née Jones, 1928–2023

Patricia passed away in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield
on October 29, 2023, at the age of 95 years.

Wife of the late Bruce Shearer, Patricia leaves to mourn her sons Keith (Sue), Bruce (Sue), Douglas (Wendy), Andrew (Rita), Robert (Jennifer), Gary (Jaime) and Craig; 13 grandchildren: Emily, Jennifer, Nelson, Trish, Randy, Samantha, Stewart, Holly, Lisa, Davey, Tom, Alexa and Brooke; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Ann and her sisters-in-law Joy and Maggie. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She will be specially remembered by the “Beattie girls”—Debbie, Tammy, Kelly and Lexis.

Patricia touched countless people’s lives with her huge heart, generosity and kindness. She was born and grew up in London, England, and served in the British Military during WWII.  After the war, Patricia crossed the big pond to Canada to start a new life.  

Her wonderful skills at knitting and sewing were recognized by many in the area and she even taught her talent to those who wanted to learn.

Patricia will be greatly missed
by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life
will be held at a later date.
