John was one of a kind, with a heart of gold. He was a passionate, talented cook who loved to share. No one ever left his place hungry. The pizzas he used to make were larger than any pizza shop pizza, we were very amazed at the size of the pizzas and buns he made. He was the kind of person that would help anyone, someone a friend can depend on. He was very caring toward my Mom. They were inseparable and it is not the same without him here. I miss his humorous one liners. May he rest in peace.

Well, I’ve taken so time to reflect now and I think I’ve laughed more than I’ve cried. John you were the light of my life. You’ve made me laugh so hard and never made me cry. You truly were a Godsend to me. We did a lot of laughing and singing. We sat many hours watching birds, racoons, cats, dogs and even fish doing their natural things in the wild. We’ve had so many whitetail deer and wild horses come eat out of our hands. We certainly had an adventurous life together. Even in the darkest times you made me laugh. You were such a wonderful man. I’m sad for you leaving and I’m happy you got to go home to that « Big ole’ Spirit in the sky » Time to RIP now. Suffer no more.
To Koreen, Crystal and extended families, I am sorry for your loss. He’s in a good place now. Cherish the memories. hugs
    Loretta

Sending my sincere condolences to my sister Loretta, my niece Kyla and to all of Orville /John’s family & friends. » Brudder » John, as I refer to him, was family, he was as close as any brother could be to me. He was the best kind of company. We spent many hours on the front porch just talking about nothing and everything. He certainly made me feel at home as if I lived with him forever. My last memory with him I got to come up from Newfoundland for a visit last summer, we made grocery runs (which he loved to do), and oh boy, could he ever cook up a meal. I assisted him with fixing up his daughter’s car, (he’s a great mechanic) and to sit back and sing some old country tunes. Our favorite! I know John adored & loved my sister and they both looked after one another for many years. I was grateful for that.
You will be missed by many.
RIP John, Always loved, Always remembered.
    Xo Robbie

Like everyone else who knew him I surely will miss him, working together and his unique mannerism and expressions, And we we’re always constantly, cracking jokes and pulling pranks on each other, and whenever we spoke on the phone as we picked it up, knowing who was calling, it was always « who’s afraid of the big bad wolf » May you rest in peace OJ

It still seems unreal! Uncle Orville was the best baker, amazing cook and oh soooo clean!!! I have years of fond memories of singing with him while he played guitar! But my favorite, and he knew this well, was his ears!!! Since I was just little, I always loved wo play with his ears!!! Hahaha he blamed me for them being so big from me hankering on them since I was little. I offer my heartfelt condolences to everyone who is feeling at a loss, I love you UNC! xoxo
