Betty leaves to mourn her children Mark (Dee Dee), Randy (Caroline) and Tim; 7 grandchildren: Matthew (Jessica), Drew, Jonathan (Tara), Grace, Randi (Jacob), Corey (Haley) and Jodi; 8 great-grandchildren: Derek, Nathan, Skyler, Jasper, Leo, Julia Rose, Marion Fey and Olivia. She will also be missed by her sister Sharon (Mike), as well as by a host of extended family and friends who were touched by her kindness.
A beloved sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, Betty was born and raised in Waterbury, Vermont, married Norman Stevenson and moved to Franklin Center in 1959 where they built a loving home together and raised four sons.
She was a devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Centre—now Village Church—for an incredible 65 years, serving as a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication. Betty shared her musical talents by playing piano for the Franklin United Church and lending her voice as a member of The Madrigal Choir.
Betty had a passion for baking that was unmatched. Over her lifetime, she lovingly baked hundreds of pies, sharing her creations with family, friends, and neighbours. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and the wonderful aromas of her famous apple pie and peanut butter fudge.
Above all, she loved her family deeply and was a loyal friend to many. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her laughter, and her boundless generosity.
Her love and light will continue to shine
in the hearts of all who knew her.

My most sincere condolences to all your family. Such a humble and kindly person, I will miss her very much. When I saw her in hospital a few weeks ago, she appeared very serene. She was a woman of faith and she is now reaping the rewards of the good life she led.

My sympathies to all who loved and was loved by Betty. I have fond memories of Betty as she played piano at church. She was also my « Avon lady » for a time and we enjoyed a coffee and chat when she brought me my order. A beautiful & kind human. May she rest in eternal peace. xx

Betty’s smile is the first thing I think of when I think of her, a beautiful legacy. She has been part of my life since babyhood, our families were involved in church together, her and my mom taught Sunday school, she was involved with music and we socialized with them. She was devoted to her family and through good times and hard times, her faith was rock solid, an example to us all. My sympathy goes out to you, her family, I know you will miss her. Your devotion and love for her was easy to see. I pray comfort for you, she is with the Lord she loved all her life. ❤️
