It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our lovely mom.
She left this earth quietly and peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father.
…
Predeceased by her husband, Colvin Watt, and 3 of her 4 siblings, left to mourn are her four children: Sandra (Michael), Larry (Susan), Lyndon (Kelly), and Brenda (Randy). She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her twin sister Thelma (Brian).
Mom came to Quebec after marrying Dad in her hometown of Norquay, SK, in 1956. She was bewildered by the many twisty roads and the unfamiliar language here! She was energetic and optimistic, so set out to learn about her new home. Growing up in a small town, farming was not in her background, but she learned to drive the tractors, bale hay, use a chainsaw to cut wood, pick apples and blueberries, and over time she became the expert maple syrup boiler on our grandpa’s farm. She also helped build our house, kept the books for Dad’s trucking business, raised us four, and still found time to paint beautiful pictures, sew for us and do the crafting that she loved. She had a knack for finding ways to incorporate a bit of fun into our work. She made things happen!
Mom and Dad both had the gift of hospitality and the coffee pot was always on at our house, everyone welcomed. She was a faithful attendee and volunteered at church where all our kids and their friends called her Grandma Terry. She loved babies and children; they always brought a smile to her face! She loved watching the birds and she mimicked the chickadees earning her the name of Great-Grandmama Chickadee!
She will be missed, but the memories are of a beautiful, strong, kind lady who loved her family and cared about those around her. We are very blessed to have called her mom, she made a difference, and we are grateful.
The family wish to thank the staff at the Barrie Memorial Hospital
for the excellent care they gave our mom over this last year—you truly made
a difficult time easier.
We would also like to acknowledge Lisa and the personnel at the CLSC,
for providing the equipment and care enabling Mom to stay home.
Visitation will be held at the Village Church, 52 Lambton Street, Ormstown Qc,
on July 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.,
and by a funeral reception.

To honour her memory, a donation may be made
to the Barrie Memorial Hospital Foundation.

My sympathies to the entire Watt Family. Was so fortunate to share a few memories with Grandma Terry, mainly breakfast and conversations with her grandchildren who I am so grateful to call my friends. Your kind gentile nature and approach will truly be missed by all that you touched. May your memory be blessing, walk proudly alongside your Lord.

We have such fond memories of Terry and our kids as well. She always had a kind word and encouragement when things seemed so tough. Although we left in 2005 when we returned in to visit she was still the same Terry full of laughter and welcoming. You will be missed but know we will see you again sincerely condolences to the family Marie&Jeff Sellka

Our deepest sympathy to all the Watt Family in the loss of their dear mother. Terry was such a kind and fun-loving lady, and a dear friend of my two older sisters (Muriel and Isabel) and great bridge playing buddies in later years. May she rest in peace. xxx
