Brian Delson Smith, 1948–2025

On April 3, 2025, Brian Smith of Ormstown, aged 76,
passed away at the CHSLD in Huntingdon Québec.

Son of the late George Smith and the late Edith Gardner, Brian is survived by his wife Robin (née Wright), by his children Joseph, Jeff, Tammy and Shawn, and his grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings Sallie, Daphne, Kevin, Karen and Theresa.

On August 13, 2016, Brian married Robin and they shared 13 wonderful years of togetherness. Sociable and inquisitive, Brian could often be seen walking around town and talking with the neighbours.

During his life he was employed in many different fields of activity, including farmhand, concierge, Walmart greeter. Year after year, he also worked at the Ormstown Expo, and this was his most favourite.

In his final days, all he could talk about
was going to the Ormstown Expo one last time.

To honour Brian’s memory, we suggest donations to:
The Livestock Breeders Association (LBA),
the Women’s Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital,
or to the Huntingdon CHSLD.

A private service will be held at a later date.

My deepest sympathies Robin and Laura on the loss of Brian. I enjoyed my little visits with him when I would go and pick up the mail and met him at the post office. Always a little joke.
