Julie Brooks, 1966–2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing
of Julie Brooks on December 30, 2025,
at her home at Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, at the age of 59.

Predeceased by her father Ross Brooks (1929–1987) and her grandson Tyler (2003), she leaves to mourn her mother Helen Anderson Brooks, her partner Jean Bourgouin, her children, Tara Brooks (Patrick Beauchamp) and Nicolas Lussier (Carolane Verreault), and her beloved granddaughter Annabelle. She will also be greatly missed by her brother Bill and her twin sister Judie (Noël Houle), by nephews and nieces, great-nieces, other family and many friends.

Julie will be remembered for her bright smile and contagious laugh. She could walk into a room and brighten it up in no time! Also, Christmas was her favourite time of the year; she would play and sing Christmas music all year round!

There are no words to say how much she will be missed.
She will forever be in our hearts.
Till we meet again; Love you, sweet Julie ♥

To offer condolences to the family and to remember Julie, a gathering will take place on Sunday, January 25th from 1 to 5 p.m. at the McGerrigle funeral home. Internment will take place in the spring.

My condolences to the family, love is never lost, it’s recycled through the air and orbits from where it came; ‘From her and unto you I wish in the form of many blessings in such a trying time and a new guardian angel to aid you from beyond the veil. May that love shine with you, forever and always

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Julie’s passing. I taught Julie when she was in grade 2 and 3 and she was always smiling and happy. We connected later in life because of a mutual love of animals. I am so sorry for her family and friends. I send you all love and courage.
