Robert Glenn Waller, 1961–2026

In Loving Memory of Robert Glenn Waller
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert « Bob » Waller,
who passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 64,
surrounded by the love of his family.

He courageously faced a long battle with cancer with remarkable strength,
determination, and grace, inspiring all who knew him.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 40 years, Elizabeth Waller; his daughters, MacKenzie Waller (James Kennedy-Zimmerer) and their children, Kellan and Maeve, and Morgan Hendrikx (Christopher Hendrikx) and their children, Nathan and Annika. Predeceased by his mother, Grace McCaig and by his father, Glenn Waller; cherished by his siblings Nancy Lang (late Garry Lang), Bryan Waller (late Shirley Waller), Brent Waller (Debbie Waller) and Cindy Looyen (Bert Looyen), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and neighbours.

Above all else, Bob was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with his wife, children and grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them always.

Bob’s passions reflected the life he built. He loved apple farming, producing maple syrup, woodworking and working outdoors. He also had a great passion for bagpiping and was a dedicated member of the Elgin & District Pipes and Drums. A generous volunteer, Bob gave his time to numerous organizations, including the Hillside Cemetery, the Rockburn Presbyterian Church, the Elgin & District Pipes and Drums and the Havelock Fair.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the example Bob set
and the legacy of love, resilience, and family he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed
and forever remembered.

A private graveside service at the Hillside Cemetery
will be held in September.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He supported Curling for Kids every year for 10 years. And it never failed to bring a tear to my eyes when those bagpipes started.

    Such a wonderful human being

Hugs to Elizabeth, MacKenzie and Morgan

    Dear Betty, Mackenzie, and Morgan,
We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s recent passing. We remember him as masterful in Highland Dress with bagpipes, as having a humorous twinkle in his eyes at the pub across from the church hall, and generally as the loyal family man and steadfast, well-respected community figure he was. Carol Bye (93) sends “many fond memories and blessings to all of you at this time and always”.
    Much love,
    Dorothea Bye and Gary Gilmore

Bob will be missed. His smile, friendliness, a great member of the community and a familiar face as he piped in the parades. A welcoming piper at the CVR graduation ceremonies. Condolences to all the family.
