Marjorie Templeton (née Hooker), 1924–2020

Peacefully at the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown, on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at the age of 95 years, wife of the late Douglas R.W. Templeton.

Survived by her children Carolyn (Lachlan Cameron), Ralph (Debbi Hollett) and Roy (Lynn McWhinnie), 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her sister Ruth Tannahill, sisters-in-law Jean Templeton and Jean Furcall, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her son Lorne, brother Bill and sister Dorothy.

Many thanks to the staff at the Résidence Ormstown and at the emergency-room of the Barrie Memorial Hospital.

The burial will be private, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date due to circumstances.

Donations in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital, 28 Gale St., Ormstown, QC J0S 1K0.

Her lifelong motto was:

“A job worth doing
is worth doing right”.
