Viola G. McWhinnie, née Brown

Viola-McWhinnie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Viola McWhinnie in the early morning hours on July 10, 2019, in Ormstown, Quebec.

Daughter of the late George E. Brown and Lulu McComb.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Clinton G. McWhinnie (1980), her cherished daughter Linda (1960) and brother William John Brown.

Survived by her daughters Sharon (Dean Hooker), Ann, Lori (Curt Anderson) and Lynn (Roy Templeton).  Adored Gram to Mckenzie and Megan Hooker, Jeffrey, Bethany, Darren and Fraser Templeton, and Dylan and Jasmine Payant and lovingly remembered by her sister Elizabeth Blair, relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences at the Ormstown Curling Club, 7,  rue Chateauguay in Ormstown, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m.

In her memory, a donation to a charity of your choice or doing something kind for someone else would be appreciated.

The family is very grateful to Dr. Catherine Bélanger and the caring staff in the protected wing of the third floor of the Centre d’Accueil (CHSLD) in Ormstown, particularly during the last few weeks.
