Robert Vincent Lawrence, born in Sweetsburg (Québec),
passed away peacefully in Ormstown
on October 13, 2021, at the age of 85 years.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Jean Ednie, his daughters Katherine (George) and Margaret (Gilles), his two grandsons Andrew and Matthew, as well as his brother William (late Sheila), nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary (late Leslie Orr) and Pat (late Jim McCaffrey) and by his brothers Malcolm (Ann) and John (Marge).
Bob participated in many community activities in Ormstown – volunteer Fire Department (over 40 years), town council, Ormstown Housing Committee and Lions Club. He was greatly loved by all, and his gentle spirit and quick humor will be fondly remembered.
Respecting his wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital, or to the Foundation of CHO,
