Gerald “Gerry” McCartney, 1947–2022

It is with heartbreaking, deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Gerald (Gerry) McCartney
on February 26th, 2022
after a short illness at the age of 74.

Son of the late Bertrand (Bert) McCartney and the late Millicent (Millie) Amos McCartney. Gerry was predeceased by his sisters Diane (Geoff Miller) and Karen (Bob Titus).

Beloved husband of Helen Trenholm, loving father of Kim and Tracy, special Papa to his only wonderful dude Dylan, he also leaves behind his brother-in-law Fred Trenholm, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, numerous cousins and friends.

Gerry worked most of his life in Montreal in the trucking and transportation industry, first with Caterpillar (Hewitt Equipment), Location Brossard, and finished with Action Utility Quebec.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
.

A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses
who helped during this difficult time.

According to his wishes, a funeral will not be held.

Thank you so much for your sympathy Janet – yes, I remember you very well. He took sick last April but it was from late summer on that things started to go downhill. At least now he’s in a better place and at peace.
